Meadowscaping for Biodiversity--the latest trend in landscaping -- for the future
Applications for summer 2025

Landscaping for the Future

"In the past, we have asked one thing of our gardens: that they be pretty. Now they have to support life, sequester carbon, feed pollinators and manage water."

Doug Tallamy, Chair and Department Head of Entomology and Wildlife Ecology, University of Delaware, Newark, DE.

Landscape design

We design a meadowscape plan for your property with plants that will add value to your land's ecosystems and curb appeal.  We plant only perennial native plants that offer habitat to pollinators, songbirds, other wildlife, and ensure your outdoor space is both beautiful and eco-friendly. Our experts will work with you to create a custom plan that meets your specific needs. We give you lists of the native plants that we would use in the design. After you approve them, we buy them from the Native Plant Trust, Grow Native, or other native plant specialist nurseries and plant them for you.

Testimonials from Customers -- 2014-2015

“Thank you for your creativity and vision in developing this project. Good luck!”

Mollie Matteson, M.S., Senior Scientist, Center for Biological Diversity, Northeast Field Office, Richmond, VT 05477

"Thank you for the important work you are doing. Let’s keep talking about ways we can work together."

Beth A. Toolan, Executive Director (former),

Waltham Partnership for Youth

“It's an amazing concept and project. A teacher in our group may have some students, or know of past ones, who were interested in her garden program and who might love to be a part of something like this.”

Waltham Middle School Teacher

Reach down inside the kids to make them understand how to treat nature with respect.
Jean Rogers, Chief Ranger City of Cambridge Water Department, Office of Watershed Management

We'd love to feature your project on the FriendsofHoneybees.NET site ... as part of our Life Supports Life (Braided Worlds) and Thank a Bee (k) initiatives, which are getting started.  Getting a mix of young people, native plants enthusiasts/nurseries/authors/eco-designers, etc. in public settings like the one in Waltham, is perfect and integrates the stories of how we can all take steps to re-weave respect  for Nature's balanced habitats back into our lives and communities.
  Thanks! N'ann

"I hope we can collaborate on your great kids' program."

Dr. Elizabeth Farnsworth,

Education Director, emeritus

Native Plant Trust

"I am delighted to see the approach you are taking.  I will pass along this information to Mystic River Outreach Coordinator Beth MacBlane to help spread the word."

EkOngKar Singh Khalsa, former Director, Mystic River Watershed Association

"This looks great! I'm happy to hear you are keeping up your good work with STEAM - it's certainly needed. Best of luck!"

Beth McBlane,

Public Outreach Mystic River Watershed Association
